Curator’s Note

The Festival of Sacred Music is a wonderful opportunity to absorb and experience music in beautiful surroundings in the sacred town of Tiruvaiyaru on the Cauvery. Historically it has been associated with the musical guru Tyagaraja and his music and continues to be a seat of learning with music colleges and the traditional guru-shishya method.

Prakriti Foundation would like you to engage in this historical space at concerts held in various parts of the town and sincerely wishes that the music will bring back to the town of Tiruvaiyaru its original glory. Come join us on this exciting soundscape adventure.

– Ranvir Shah (Curator, Prakriti Foundation)
